Thumb Under for Hand Vibrato

"To help develop the hand vibrato, try practising with the thumb underneath the neck."

As the thumb supports the vibrato action it is important that it does not grip the neck of the violin too tightly.

Often we allow the thumb to rebalance itself when changing from a non vibrato passage to a long vibrato note, this is fine.
