Scales in One Position

Scales in One Position

Here Justine plays 'Scales in One Position' in A Major in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions.

As with all scales, change the key regularly in your practice.

When first learning these scales start on the tonic and work upwards, rather than starting in first position. That means for Bb start in second position, C start in third position and so on.

This helps you develop the patterns. When the patterns are secure work towards starting in any position.
