Octave Slides & Diatonic Sequence

Octave Slides & Diatonic Sequence

One-finger sequences are particularly good for practising the movement of the arm taking the hand up and down the fingerboard.

Make sure that you do not overshoot the correct note. Try to let the finger gently fall into the new position.

Here Justine plays an octave jump and then D major scale with 3rd finger on the A-string. You can play any number of variations, such as broken 3rds, with just one finger.
