Knock Peg Double Stop

Practising vibrato on double stops (particularly minor 6ths) is good to help unify the vibrato direction of all fingers. This in turn will help develop a calm handover of one finger to another when we use continuous vibrato.

Notice when vibrating for any length of time that we rebalance the hand towards the fingers involved. Here the hand is balanced to give optimal support to the 3rd and 4th fingers, while the 1st and 2nd fingers are peripheral to the action....
