For Lane 5 over the fingerboard we use a lot of bow with a lot of vibrato.
We use Lane 3 for many things, including fast détaché. Make sure you have enough friction. Try the flat of the hair.
When we use Lane 1 we really slow the bow down. Let the bow sink into the string.
