A Major Scale

A Major Scale

The A Major scale on the A and E strings uses the Mid Finger Pattern with 2nd and 3rd fingers close.

The one-octave scale starting on the open A, D and G strings uses the same fingering with the same finger pattern.

On the E-string leave 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fingers down as we are going to use them again immediately. Peel them off one by one for the descending passage on E.

When descending on the A-string we need to place the fingers independently as they are not already down.
