Twofold Media Pty Ltd was established in 1996 by Simon Veitch and Frances Gall to produce and publish violin teaching materials in multimedia format.
Our first title, Violin Magic by Robert Wakely of Melbourne, presented video-rich violin pedagogy for beginner violin on CDROM, a revolutionary development for the time.
This led us to produce and publish titles authored by Fintan Murphy: Violin Alive (based on the Technical Work syllabus of the Australian Music Examinations Board), followed by Violin Bow Technique and Violin Left Hand.
Now on this website, under the banner of Violin Bow Technique+, Violin Bow Technique and Violin Left Hand combine with Kreutzer Etudes, our latest work, and New Ševčík Variations (all forty variations played by Dindin and Dandan Wang with teaching points by Fintan Murphy, making the pedagogical wonders of Otakar Ševčík’s Theme and 40 Variations accessible to everyone).
We count ourselves fortunate to be able to work with such outstanding string players, pedagogues and teachers, in bringing forward and illustrating such brilliant material.
